The Bridgewater Triangle covers an area of 200 square miles and is centered around three focal points located in Abington, Rehoboth, and Freetown, Massachusetts. Within this region are the communities of Taunton, Raynham, Berkley, Dighton, Brockton, Easton, and Bridgewater.
Strange Phenomena in the Bridgewater Triangle
Within the Bridgewater Triangle, various creepy activities have taken place, including the operation of asylums and prisons, as well as incidents of cult murders.
There have also been sightings of various paranormal phenomena, such as UFOs, Bigfoot, strange serpents, Pukwudgies, Willow of the Wisps, glowing balls of light, and hauntings.
Locations of Interest Within the Bridgewater Triangle
Central to the Bridgewater Triangle is the Hockomock Swamp, which translates to "the place where spirits dwell," and was referred to as "Devil's Swamp" by English colonizers. Reports of paranormal sightings in this area include various flying creatures such as the Thunderbird and ghosts.
The Freetown-Fall River State Forest has been the site of various cult activities, including animal sacrifice and ritualistic murders committed by admitted Satanists, as well as gangland murders and suicides. Profile Rock, located within this forest, is said to be where Wampanoag historical figure Anawan received the lost wampum belt from Philip, and legend has it that the ghost of a man can be seen sitting on the rock with his legs crossed or with outstretched arms.
The Solitude Stone, also known as the "suicide stone," is located near Forest Street in West Bridgewater and was found near a missing person's body. The inscribed rock reads: "All ye, who in future days, Walk by Nunckatessett stream Love not him who hummed his lay Cheerful to the parting beam, But the beauty that he wooed."
At Bridgewater State University, several buildings and rooms are rumored to be haunted by ghosts and other paranormal phenomena.
At Taunton State Hospital, visitors have claimed to experience strange paranormal activities, including being touched and pulled in certain areas of the hospital. It is also believed that the hospital was used by satanic cults during the 1960s and 70s.
Finally, the Hornbine School, a one-room schoolhouse built during the 1840s and in use until 1937, is said to be haunted by its former inhabitants.

Possible Explanations for High Strangeness in the Bridgewater Triangle
Paranormal Expert Jeff Belanger believes that regardless of one's beliefs, there is a unique phenomenon occurring within the confines of the Bridgewater Triangle. He believes that there is a strong presence of paranormal activity, although he is unsure whether it is due to some sort of vortex or just a coincidende.
He acknowledges that credible sources consistently report such activity, and he believes that this is a manifestation of the past interacting with the present, a phenomenon that occurs not only in this area but everywhere.
I would agree with his assessment that these kinds of phenomena do occur everywhere and it’s probably a coincidence that so many events seem to be happening within the Bridgewater Triangle.
The area does have quite a long history and has been the site of several traumatic events so this could maybe lead to an increase in paranormal activity.
