Nakarating na ba kayo sa labas ng kakahuyan at nakarinig ng tunog ng umiiyak na sanggol? Maaaring ito ay isang Tiyanak na nagsisikap na akitin ka sa iyong kamatayan.
ANO ANG TIYANAK?
Ang Tiyanak ay isang masamang espiritu na may anyo ng isang bagong silang na sanggol. Maririnig ang pag-iyak sa kakahuyan sa mga rural na lugar sa Pilipinas. Kung ang isang walang kamalay-malay na biktima ay pumunta sa bata at kinuha ito, ang Tiyanak ay babalik sa kanyang tunay na anyo at sasalakayin sila.
Mayroong ilang iba't ibang bersyon ng Tiyanak ayon sa mga tao mula sa iba't ibang lugar sa Pilipinas. Sa isang bersyon ng alamat ang Tiyanak ay isang normal na sanggol hanggang sa nilapitan kapag ito ay nagsiwalat na mayroon itong matatalas na kuko at ngipin. Minsan ang sanggol ay nakikitang lumilipad sa kagubatan bilang isang normal na sanggol bago mag-transform sa isang malaking itim na ibon.
Sa isa pang bersyon, ang Tiyanak ay mas katulad ng isang duwende na inilarawan bilang isang maliit na matandang lalaki na may kulubot na balat, mahabang buhok sa mukha, isang patag na ilong at mapupungay na mga mata.
Ang bersyon na ito ng Tiyanak ay may isang binti na mas mahaba kaysa sa isa at pilit na gumagalaw nang mabilis. Ito ang dahilan kung bakit ginagamit nito ang sigaw ng isang sanggol upang iguhit ang biktima nito.
Ang isa pang bersyon ng Tiyanak mula sa Gitnang Luzon ay naglalarawan sa kanila bilang mga maliliit na tao na lumulutang. Malaki ang ilong nila, malapad ang bibig at malalaking mata. Sinasabing kung mahina at tahimik ang sigaw ng isang Tiyanak ay malapit lang talaga ito. Ang sigaw ng Tiyanak ay malakas kung gayon ay talagang malayo.
PAANO NILIKHA ANG TIYANAKS?
Ang ilang mga alamat ay nagsasabi na ang mga Tiyanak ay ang mga espiritu ng mga normal na sanggol na namatay nang walang pangalan. Pagkatapos ay lumilipat sila sa buong kagubatan na naghahanap ng isang taong magpapangalan sa kanila upang makapunta sila sa kabilang buhay.
Nang sakupin ng mga Kastila ang Pilipinas ay ginawa nila ang alamat na ito upang umangkop sa Katolisismo na nagsasabing ito ay mga hindi binyagan na sanggol na naging Tiyanak.
Sa modernong panahon ang Tiyanak ay sinasabing mga espiritu ng mga ipinalaglag na fetus na naghihiganti sa kanilang mga magulang.
TIYANAK ENCOUNTERS
Sinasabi ng ilang tao sa Tik Tok na nakatagpo sila ng Tiyanak sa totoong buhay. Ang mga video na nai-post ay naglalaman ng mga grupo ng mga taong nagkakampo sa kakahuyan kapag narinig nila ang tunog ng isang sanggol na umiiyak.
PAANO MAIIWASAN ANG TIYANAK ATTACK

Ang Filipino folklore ay nagbibigay sa atin ng ilang mga hakbang upang maiwasan ang pag-atake ng Tiyanak.
Kung masusumpungan mo ang iyong sarili na naliligaw sa kakahuyan na naakit ng sigaw ng isang Tiyanak maaari kang makatakas sa pamamagitan ng pag-iikot ng iyong mga damit. Ito raw ay nagpapasaya sa Tiyanak kaya hindi ka na nito gugustuhing saktan.
Ang malalakas na ingay tulad ng mga pagdiriwang ay sapat na raw para itaboy ang mga Tiyanak. Ang pagdadala ng rosemary at bawang ay mabisa rin umano sa pag-iwas sa Tiyanak.
Maaari kang magdala ng kapayapaan sa diwa ng Tiyanak sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay dito ng pangalan at pag-aalay ng puting kandila upang gabayan ito sa kabilang buhay.
