Orange Eyes: A Sasquatch Encounter
Orange Eyes is named after its huge, glowing Orange Eyes.
Several people have reported seeing a huge, bigfoot-like creature with glowing orange eyes around Mansfield, Ohio.
The First Orange Eyes Sighting
In 1963, the first documented sighting of the creature that came to be known as Orange Eyes took place. Numerous witnesses described encountering a being near Charles Mill Lake near Mansfield, Ohio, that stood approximately 11 feet tall and weighed around aproximately 1,000 pounds.
Filled with terror, those who witnessed the creature promptly armed themselves and united as a group to eliminate this massive beast. Unfortunately their attempts to capture Orange Eyes ended in disappointment.
While the exact origins of this entity remain unknown, some people hold the belief that Orange Eyes was initially a gentle and reclusive creature that resided within a tunnel situated in Cleveland's River Side cemetery.
According to this theory, the creature's tranquil existence was disrupted in the late 1940s when a construction crew building a highway inadvertently destroyed its habitat. Poor Orange Eyes was compelled to relocate to the wooded vicinity close to Mill Lake. This relocation brought about more frequent encounters with humans, leading to a notable shift in its demeanor for the worse. Can’t blame him really.
Another Sighting of Orange Eyes
The next documented encounter with Orange Eyes took place on April 22, 1968. A group of children spotted the creature in the vicinity of Mill Lake during the nighttime and proceeded to give chase, equipped with flashlights, baseball bats, and rope.
We’re not really sure what the children would have done if they did manage to catch poor Orange Eyes. Nevertheless, despite their efforts, the cryptid managed to evade capture, much to the disappointment of the children and undoubtedly to the relief of their worried parents.
The Most Recent Reported Sighting of Orange Eyes
The last documented sighting of this creature allegedly occurred in June of 1991, when it revealed itself to a pair of fishermen who were engaged in angling near Willis Creek. The men were terrified of the creature and stayed still in the hopes that it wouldn’t see them. After a few minutes Orange Eyes retreated into the woods.
Theories About Orange Eyes
Some people believe that Orange Eyes is simply a very tall, reclusive human being that tries to scare people away from their home by waving around a plank of wood with two orange bicycle reflectors attached, giving the appearance of a huge, orange eyed creature in the darkness.
Other High Strangeness in the Mansfield Area
Another creature we discussed recently called the Charles Mill Lake Monster has been spotted on the very same lake as Orange Eyes. The Charles Mill Lake Monster is notably different however, as it has glowing green eyes and no arms.
As with many Bigfoot encounters the area in which Orange Eyes has been seen has also been a hotbed of UFO activity.
On October 18, 1973, in the vicinity of Mansfield, Ohio, a peculiar unidentified flying object (UFO) emitting a green beam was reportedly involved in an encounter with a military helicopter, according to eyewitness accounts. This incident occurred near the very same Charles Mill Reservoir.
