David Glasser and Edward Frampton were roommates in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and hung out a lot with their buddy Robert Chadwell.

Frampton was a pretty active guy who played basketball and did participated in the Special Olympics, even though he had some mental challenges.

He was also an advocate for people with disabilities and gave talks to help caregivers take care of them better.

Chadwell used to be a counsellor for teens with drug and alcohol problems before he moved back to his hometown of Pittsfield.

Glasser was a well liked member of the community in Pittsfield. He was a handyman and loved fixing things for people. He also had a passion for rock music. Like Frampton, he also had some mental and physical disabilities.

Hell’s Angels Revenge

Adam Lee Hall, a high-ranking member of the Massachusetts chapter of the Hell's Angels, had beaten David Glasser with a baseball bat two years prior, after suspecting that Glasser had stolen from him.

Glasser reported the incident to the police. Two days later, Hall was arrested not only for the assault but also for drug and gun charges.

Both Hall and Glasser were due to appear in court in September 2011, with Glasser planning to testify against Hall. Before this could happen Glasser, along with Frampton and Chadwell, disappeared without a trace.

Robert Chadwell's brother, Les, was the first to suspect something was amiss when he couldn't get ahold of Robert despite staying in near-daily contact.

Around the same time, Erin Forbush, Frampton's disability case worker, also became concerned after not hearing from him and went to check on him.

She found the house empty, Glasser's truck still in the driveway, and Frampton's wallet left on his computer stand. His medications had also gone untouched, which was out of character for him.

After reporting the three men missing, police focused their investigation on Glasser due to the danger he faced from testifying against Hall. Meanwhile, they continued searching for the trio.

After 11 days of searching, the dismembered bodies of Glasser, Frampton, and Chadwell were found wrapped in plastic bags and buried in a pit. Autopsies revealed that they had been tortured, gutted, and shot to death.

The police believed that Glasser was the intended target and that the other two men were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Further investigations led police to identify three accomplices, including David Chalue, who was allegedly part of the Aryan Brotherhood, and David Casey, a backhoe operator from New York.

The third accomplice was the one who made the case gain international media attention. Caius Domitius Veiovis, who claims to be a vampire and worship Satan, was charged in the killings of Glasser, Frampton, and Chadwell.

Caius Veiovis Goes Viral

A media frenzy erupted around the case as soon as Caius Veiovis was named as a suspect. His picture was plastered around the internet amid hysterical articles about satanic killers in our midst.

In 2008, Roy C. Gutfinski, Jr. legally changed his name and explained in a letter to the media that his original first and middle names were inspired by the infamous Roman emperors Caligula and Nero, and his new last name was from an "ancient Etruscan daemon." This last name claim was found to be inaccurate.

Aside from changing his name, Gutfinski, now known as Veiovis, also underwent extreme body modifications, such as facial tattoos, subdermal implants, and sharpened teeth. His unique appearance drew widespread media attention, especially after his outlandish booking photo went viral.

Veiovis had a troubled history with law enforcement, with his first arrest at the age of 13 for carrying a knife. In 1999, at age 19 and still using his birth name, he and his girlfriend were convicted of assaulting another girl. The victim was lured to their motel room, where Veiovis' girlfriend cut her back with a razor, and they both kissed while licking up the blood. Veiovis was sentenced to 10 years but only served seven and a half.

While still on parole in 2006, Veiovis was charged with kidnapping two strippers and holding them against their will in a hotel room. Although the charges were eventually dropped, he was sent back to prison for violating his parole.

Veiovis was the final accomplice to face trial, with Hall and Chalue both receiving life sentences after being convicted of three counts of murder, kidnapping, and witness intimidation.

Casey, who admitted to helping bury the bodies, pleaded guilty to accessory after the fact of murder, kidnapping, and witness intimidation and received a reduced sentence in exchange for testifying against Hall and Chalue.

Despite pleading not guilty to all charges, Veiovis was found guilty after a lengthy trial that featured evidence suggesting he may have been involved, such as blood found in his car and disturbing materials discovered in his apartment.

Veiovis has continued to insist on his innocence and even appealed his case to the state Supreme Court, but the conviction was upheld. He is currently incarcerated in Massachusetts.
